On Thursday, I was out searchibg for one of my outside Cat’s, her name is Nene. After speaking with a lady in regard’s to my search, walking back thru again an unfamiliar area. A squirrel got my attention by walking behind me. I stopped and as i asked”h ave you seen Nene” the Squirrel precedent sniffing my tennis shoe, nibbling the oil near my ankle and then looked up at me and began to climb up my mid cuffed jean leg. I thought it best to discourage its continued climb. He happy retreated back to the sidewalk. And as i walked away observing, the Squirrel continued its slow pace following me. Finally, it returned to the amasses of pine needles, watching me depart.
Woke up this morning to see a White Squirrel & a Reeve Golden Pheasant 8 ft from my window !!!!…. both enjoying the peanuts put out for the birds. What a treat. While the squirrel was stretched out eating the nuts a green parrot flew right up screeching crossly, to which the squirrel took no notice. All activities caught on my mobile camera …

I feed squirrels. Most on my property are gray, there are also a couple that are apparently either black or extra dark and one that is brown. They really enjoy the salt free peanuts and sunflower seeds I give them and can come looking for me when I pull up across my street before coming in the drive way. Anyway saw an albino in another part of the state the other day. It was just gorgeous. Fluffy white fur in the sunlight. Was looking into what sort of omen it might be. Very glad to say it’s a good one.
